MEDICINE WHEEL HEALTHY WAY CLINIC
In order to acheive and maintain good health, all people require easy access to health services. The Medicine Healthy Way Clinic provides family-centred health care for Aboriginal people (including First Nation, Metis and Inuit people) living off-reserve within the North Bay area. Our aim is to provide culturally safe, holistic health care for children, adults and families to imorove and promote good health. The clinic accepts people who do not have a local Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner.
CLINIC SERVICES
- Infant and child health care (check-ups and immunization)
- Prenatal care
- Annual health examinations
- Sexual health services
- Assesment, diagnosis and treatment of health conditions
- Health promotion
- Referrals too specialists and other agencies
CLINIC STAFF
The clinic at the North Bay Indian Friendship Centre is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner and a Clinic Receptionist. Our extended team includes the support of a Family Physician.
REFERRALS
We accept referrals from health care providers, community agencies, internal staff and clients themselves.
